Three Assam Rifles personnel were killed and six others were injured in an attack by PLA militants in Chandel district of Manipur (100 km from Imphal) on the India-Myanmar border yesterday.
The militants first detonated IEDs and then fired shots at the soldiers. For which three jawans of Assam Rifles were martyred and six more jawans were injured.
The injured soldiers have been admitted to the military hospital at Lemakhang in West Imphal district.
