NHRC has intervened in the matter of transportation of migrant workers as most of the workers were not provided basic facilities which is guaranteed by the legislation of Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service Act, 1979 which specifies for providing inter-state workmen with conducive work conditions and preventing exploitation. Under this law they must provided displacement allowance, Journey allowance and payment of wages during the period of Journey. But these all facilities is absent in the present case.
