NEVER have I seen Ma Durga as Mahishasuramardhini as beautiful and as exquiste as in this piece of architecture at the Thillai Nataraja temple, Chidmbaram. Tamil Nadu.
I just stood in front of Her totally transfixed for quite sometime. Note the 9 pair of hands. The facial expression so serene and calm. The beauty, power and grace of Ma Durga here at the Thillai Nataraj temple has to be seent to be believed. It is not posssible for me to describe the beauty and power and grace of this sculpture. I don't have the words. Just see the the image and feel blessed.
