సకాల వర్షానికై,నదీ వాపి కూప తటాకములన్నీ నీటితో నిండి కళకళలాడాలని ప్రార్థిస్తూ, ఈ రోజు శ్రీ అహోబిల మహాక్షేత్రంలో ,క్షేత్ర వాసుల విశ్వాసం,స్థానిక సంప్రదాయాలను అనుసరిస్తూ గుడ్డి సింగరయ్య సన్నిధానం వద్ద స్వామికి పాయసం నివేదించి,అక్కడున్న కొండ రాయి మీద ధారపోయగా కల్మషంలేని పసివారగు చెంచు బాలకులు గోవింద నామస్మరణ చేస్తూ ఆ పాయసాన్ని స్వీకరించారు.అది శ్రీ అహోబిలేశ్వరులే స్వయంగా స్వీకరించారని భావిస్తారు.అనంతరం అక్కడున్నవారంతా ఆ పాయసాన్ని ప్రసాదంగా స్వీకరిస్తారు. Praying for early and sufficient rains, the locals and residents of Ahobilam offered payasannam to Guddi Singaraiah which is near bhargavam sannidhi. It is the tradition in Ahobilam mahakshetram and it is the belief of locals to offer payasannam to guddi singaraiah when there is deficit rainfall. After offering payasam to perumal there,it was poured on a rock plate near the sannidhanam and chenchu boys of very small age have that by reciting Govinda namavali.later the villagers there receive the payasam as prasadam.
