बंगाल बाघ

लगभग 12,000 साल पहले बाघ भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप में पहुंचे थे।
यह भारत और बांग्लादेश दोनों का राष्ट्रीय पशु है|

भारत और बांग्लादेश में सुंदरबन में बंगाल बाघ हेनवुड जंगलों के रहने वाले विश्व में एकमात्र बाघ हैं। भारतीय सुंदरबन में आबादी का अनुमान है कि कुल में कुल 70 बाघ हैं।

बाघ एक मांसाहारी है यह चित्ती, सांबर, गौर, बारसिंग, जल भैंस, नीलगाय, सीरव और ताकिन शिकार को पसंद करती है।
मध्यम आकार की शिकार प्रजातियों में यह अक्सर जंगली सूअर को मारता है, और कभी-कभी हॉग हिरण, मंटजैक और ग्रे लंगुर।

Bengal tiger

The tiger arrived in the Indian subcontinent about 12,000 years ago.

It is the national animal of both India and Bangladesh.

The Bengal tigers in the Sundarbans in India and Bangladesh are the only tigers in the world inhabiting mangrove forests. The population in the Indian Sundarbans is estimated as 70 tigers in total.

The tiger is a carnivore. It prefers hunting chital, sambar, gaur, barasingha, water buffalo, nilgai, serow and takin. Among the medium-sized prey species it frequently kills wild boar, and occasionally hog deer, muntjac and grey langur.
