DOES EMPOWERED DALIT OFFICERS N NETA DESERVE RESERVATION?
Well it is a very tricky question to answer and whether we want or not, it is going to exist some more decades or may be century. You will find some very good sensible as well as ferocious articles and speech in favor or against it. Even if am neither in favor or against it having neutral view about it's existence or non existence but surely I am against it's present form of implementation.
Why we needed reservation?
If one goes into parliament reports and prevailing situation at the time of framing Constitution, he would be very much convinced with the new taken by our forefathers and put into Constitution. In fact Great Baba Saheb wanted to restrict it only for 10 years.
Along with cast system and untouchability, it was unavailability/ access of education system and resources to particular section of society were some of few reasons.
I personally feel, last reason was strongest and our great leaders believed that once beneficiaries of reservation, became capable, his or her future generations would not have any problem to access education system of India and therefore he and his families would opted out from this system and therefore in a short span of time deprived person of society would be able to make themselves capable and theirs future generations.
Did reservation succeed ?
Obviously not. Intention of fathers were pure but it couldn't be implemented or rather beneficiaries would became greedy and tools which was designed to connect people become to divide people. Otjerwse more and more section would not demand for reservations. Few are the examples
If dalit officers family still taking advantage of reservation despite getting education in best schools then he is certainly exploiting other dalit youth right and preventing him to bring his family in main Street.
If after becoming IFS and speaker, madam and her children are taking advantage of it then do you think she is taking general candidate rights. Surely not.
There are numerous example when officers generations are taking advantage of reservation and therefore deprivin real dalit youth from their rights. IT IS AS GOOD AS DYNASTY IN DALIT WHERE IN DALIT OFFICERS SON WILL BE NEXT OFFICERS
reservation can't be extinguished but it can be modified to give effect as imagined by by Baba Saheb and other great leaders. and there should be definite law which make it compulsory that children whose parents are class 2 officers and above and taken benefits of reservation shall be treated as general category and won't be eligible for reservations.
RESERVATION SHOULD NOT BE TOOL OF PRODUCING OFFICERS IN ONE FAMILY ONLY AT THE COST OF DALIT STUDENTS AND TALENTS
