EA doesn't care about people who aren't investors.

  • I'll preface this by saying that I do not think it's a terrible thing for them to bring awareness to this issue. It's significant that it can not just be dismissed by looking away from it. With that said, I do hold a certain amount of Mut 21 coins doubt towards multi-billion dollar multinational corporations paying lip service to significant social problems. Of course, as a capitalist business they are under no duty to do so, and it rings hollow when they try to stand in solidarity with all the common people. Now there are businesses out there that are doing things and this is the opportunity to highlight those attempts; to demonstrate they're more than just words.

Having said that police brutality isn't just something that a company like EA throwing money at the issue does considerably towards fixing. At best they put money towards the attorneys and groups that struggle to see justice after the fact or lobby to have laws changed that in the current government will not. It's systemic difficulties within police of not reporting their particular and holding them liable instead staying silent and with the authorities unions which allow it all to happen or in ways even encourage it by the repercussions being a slap on the wrist followed by being hired at a different precinct showing them there's no consequences. Before even getting to legislation and rulings such as qualified immunity that shield abusive cops and permit them to abuse their power freely. The vast majority of which EA and most capitalist companies are not able to perform all that much about making it unfair to state they are at the best possible position to do more.

Those at the best possible position to do more are the supposed great cops by no more remaining quiet and allowing bad cops to get away with their abuse of power or voting for better direction for their unions which will not enable the behaviour. However, of course it's just words. Businesses will only ever do these things once public opinion has turned into one way. Because following decades of corporations doing things for the wrong reason, people are very cynical. Even if all businesses stopped doing things wrong, it is going to take a longlong time for that picture of corporate America to lose its tarnish. Part of what people might do is elect politicians who promise they'll hold these corporations accountable. It probably wont happen alone. This could be a lot easier if someone like this may run for office .

Because regardless of the opinion, this remains 100% a company and marketing maneuver. If they really wanted to do something positive, they could do it without marketing their merchandise while doing this. As it is not genuine. This is no different than the coronavirus advertisements. They might have said nothing in any way. That's good. Solidarity or they realize a decent chunk of the audience is preoccupied with something more significant than a damn videogame? Man. These comments really emphasize the nihilistic character of reddit users. Yes, this really is a company. Yes, it has something to do with advertising. But Jesus, can not we be glad that firms are stating something? Do you not understand just how much of an effect this could make? In the event the firm ignored the situation, it would give every checked out thoughts the idea that what's happening is ordinary and routine.

EA doesn't care about people who aren't investors. Eliminating Kaepernick's name out of tunes in Madden 2 years in a row reveals it. Companies do not want one to defend themlet their lawyers do this work. EDIT: Let me be clear. I am all for calling a spade a spade and being happy after I'm surprised by something like this. But we shouldn't praise a company for reaching the absolute bare minimum. We should praise firms who reveal patterns of pleasure. Feel free to disagree, but don't behave like this exact instance is this incredibly complicated morally-grey circumstance. I mean I thought there were fairly strict regulations on whose names and buy mut coins madden 21 likeliness may be used in Madden. Just like Belicheck and Payton aren't in Madden because they aren't a part of the NFLCA and that's who EA has a contract with. They might need to cover Kap if his title is used and are probably avoiding that. That and Kap is not just welcome in the NFL planet (not speaking about fans) anymore.
