To replace the filter element, use the canister wrench supplied with the system to unscrew the canister. When you are facing the front of the unit, turn the wrench to the left. After loosening it, you should be able to loosen it manually.
1. Remove the filter and discard. Rinse the canister.
2. Install a new filter element. Please note that the two canisters have different filter elements. The left-hand cylinder uses a 5-micron sediment filter. The right-hand cylinder uses a .5 micron carbon block filter. Be sure to install the new elements in the correct tank.
Screw the canister back onto the mounting head, then turn to the right and tighten with a can wrench. You only need moderate pressure.
3. When replacing the filter, check the rubber O-ring on the inside of the filter element.... less
