some provisions of Indian Penal Code were enacted in 1870 keeping practices ( or malpractice or exploitation) in UK and imported from there.
with each passing day, it gave feeling of something illegal and later it become means of extortion (though not to such extent as portrayed). More than money, it became matter of psyche and therefore give guilt feeling. Adult person should have free will to practice whatever they want. Our elders can say it is against nature may invite disease etc but you can't stop them. it's better to allow them to choose and I don't think by allowing it ppl will change thier orientation overnight.
it's good decision that Apex Court agreed to reconsider it.
