If the tire is flat, the weight of the car body will rest in the same place on the tire throughout the winter. Over time, the rubber will be deformed and the sidewall will appear weak, causing the tire to be scrapped.
It is best to clean your bike before storing it. The best practice is to first use a brush to remove the mud and attachments from the frame and wheels. Then, wipe the entire side of the car with a towel, and finally, wipe the side of the chain and other places where the grease may stick to dust.
Wipe the bike so you can view the frame. While cleaning, carefully check the firmness of the frame, look for any signs of fracture or metal fatigue, pay special attention to the welding points and the bottom bracket part, because there is the greatest pressure.
Take a few minutes to lubricate the brake cables and shift cables to prevent them from rusting and prevent performance degradation. Find a clean rag, drip a few drops of lubricating oil, and gently wipe the exposed part of the cable, preferably to the part inside the cap.
You can also selectively wipe the tires, seat and grips. If you are going to clean these parts, make the rubber and leather products clean, shiny and soft.
When wiping the tire, check for loose or damaged spokes; turn the wheel to check whether the rim is correct. The wheels should rotate normally, not shake from side to side, let alone rub against the brake pads. If the wheel is not correct, you may have to repair it first. At the same time, check whether the position of the brake block is correct or whether it needs to be replaced.
