Night Elf employees, known as Wisps, want to Entangle a Gold Mine to collect from it, that takes 60 seconds. Once assembled, Wisps could be'loaded' into the mine, amassing gold without having to wow gold classic move. Undead also differ in the other factions in that they need to utilize their simplest combat unit -- Ghouls -- to collect lumber. The trade-off is that Ghouls gather 20 lumber per delivery rather than the Individual and Orc's 10, and the Night Elves' 5. They're also much more defensible, if your opponent target your workers.
All games begin with your starting town right next to a gold mine. Night Elf or Undead players will discover their starting mine ready to use, won't have to be worried about Haunting or Entangling immediately, before,the first Gold Mine collapses. That is correct, Gold Mines do not last forever, so you'll be seeking to expand rapidly into the ancient mid-game.
